Missing Pre-Drilled Holes? Here’s What to KnowUpdated 11 days ago

If you're assembling your furniture and notice a missing pre-drilled hole, we understand how that can be confusing. While it's possible that a hole may have been missed during manufacturing, there's a helpful rule of thumb that can clarify whether a pre-drilled or pilot hole should be expected:

🔩 Pointed Screws

If you're working with screws that have pointed tips, it's completely normal not to see pre-drilled holes. These screws are designed to be driven directly into the wood. In some cases, you might find small pilot holes that serve as a guide to help with placement, but a full hole isn’t required.

🔧 Blunt-Tipped Bolts

For bolts with a flat or blunt tip, there should be a pre-drilled or pilot hole. These types of fasteners aren't able to pierce the wood on their own and require a pre-made hole to be properly secured.
